D.I.Y “Minimergency” Kit

As big as my bags usually are I’m never really equipped enough for a fashion emergency. There are tons of pre-made fashion emergency kits I could get my hands on to just throw in my bag, but I figured why not make it a bit more personal. The thing about buying the “Minimergency”  kits vs doing it yourself is that you can pick and choose what’s important or not to have in your your bag. So what I did for you is create a list of things you could possibly toss in your personalized “Minimergency” kit.

First things first is to purchase a cute little makeup bag to store all your goodies.

Now here’s a list of things of items I think would be essential to every fashion emergency kit, but like I mentioned before you know what’s best for you to carry around.

Beauty Breakdown: Gucci S/S ’14

The Italians were “lashing” out during Milan Fashion Week with beauty looks heavily focused on the eyes. I’m a sucker for a sixties makeup look so it came as no surprise that Pat McGrath caught my eye with her rendition of a sixties eye over at Gucci for their Fall ’14 show.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  1. Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer,$20.
  2. MAC EyeShadow in White Frost,$15.
  3. Urban Decay Naked2 Palette,$52.
  4. Kevyn Aucoin Precision Liquid Liner,$34.
  5. Estēe Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Eye Pencil in Onyx,$22.
  6. Eylure Upper and Lower Lash Set – Choppy,$11.
  7. Kevyn Aucoin Eyelash Curler,$21.
  8. Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Vanilla,$28.
  9. Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray ,$30.

Here’s What You Do:

  1. Prep the eyes with primer to achieve a longer lasting look
  2. Brush the off-white shadow over the eyes
  3. Sweep the gray-brown shade along the crease, dragging it past the outer corner
  4. Define the upper and lower lash lines with a combination of the black liquid + pencil liner
  5. Trace the waterline with the beige shadow stick to open up the eyes
  6. Brush mascara onto the lashes
  7. Apply falsies to the top and bottom lashes
  8. Add a little more liner to conceal lash bands
  9. Curl the lashes
  10. Complete the look with a spritz of setting spray to hold your makeup in place all day long

Voilà!
